Youth Mentorship Program

We have changed for the better how parents view after-school programming for their kids. What sets our YMP apart from other after-school options is our commitment to the development of our students as well as adding value to our families. We accomplish these by committing to getting homework finished; classes taught by our staff who are experts in their area of focus; and teaching values that grow our students' three treasures of mind, body, and spirit.

Martial Arts

Three Treasures Kung Fu is a traditional training with a modern twist and update that your kids will have fun learning while also being exposed to family values and tools that will help them outside of training. Sifu Frank is old school so he will be tough on your child at first but he eases up as your child shows they can control their emotions and learn boundaries. He takes his role as Sifu very seriously and upholds two important roles: to be a mentor to your child and to preserve the quality of the training. There is no compromise and you will see the difference almost immediately. Sifu puts out an outstanding program but wants to keep it affordable to improve the chances of his students being able to train longer. In addition, all Kung Fu students also get to participate in both the dance and sports programs at no extra cost.

Sports

Our students love our indoor soccer, indoor hockey, and dodgeball programs - but it is our basketball and badminton programs that we hang our hats on! Long before Sifu Frank founded Three Treasures he was a champion high school badminton coach and basketball player. His son is the current #1 badminton player at Mira Mesa High School and was on the basketball team, and his daughter made varsity basketball and badminton as a freshman. Our basketball program is led by Head Coach Matter Lerner who is outstanding in player development and Coach Larry Stokes, Jr, whose father is the head coach of one of San Diego's best club teams, the San Diego Soldiers

Dance

The ability to express yourself physically is an important part of child development. Our Dance department hits the mark by allowing our students to get their wiggles out and having expert training. Currently, we offer Polynesian Dance, Hip Hop, and traditional Kung Fu-style Lion Dance. Our Polynesia program not only includes Tahitian but also music and history and is led by Ms Kat who is an accomplished dancer under the prestigious Hiva Katoa group. Hip Hop is led by one of our top staff, Ms Erika, who is a passionate high-level performer and helps run our Hage Elementary school. Lastly, our Lion Dance team is one of the top teams in California due to Sifu Frank's eye for details and preservation of the Kung Fu-style of powerful head shakes, agile footwork, and antics and tricks. We are proud to be the Lion Dance team of Barona and Soboba Casinos
